[Print] this page as the game board.
Print page two and cut out the set of A-Z letters.
TIP: Glue page two onto cardboard stock before cutting the letters.
Two sets of rules for dice or no dice.
RECORD SCORES BELOW
RULES WITH A PAIR OF DICE
Give each player a set of tokens: coins, poker chips or cheerios, different for each player.
Use all pennies, all dimes, etc.
Flip all the 25 A-Z leters tiles face up.
On each turn, a player will:
Roll the dice.
Select a location based on the dice roll at which to form a word.
Unless you rolled doubles, you will have two locations to choose from.
Look for a 2-letter fragment on their page that will make a 3-letter word with an available A-Z letter.
Move an A-Z letter to that location to call out and make a word.
The A-Z letter can be at the start or end of the 2-letter fragment.
For example, combine "AN" with "T" to make ANT or TAN.
Combine "Y" with "MA" to make MAY or "C" with "AN" for CAN.
Players must call out the word first then place their coin on the fragment.
Scoring: Score one point each time you make three-in-a-row, then remove your tokens and return the A-Z letters to reuse.
Play until all letters have been used then restore the letters to use again.
You can steal a space occupied by an opponent.
If your spaces are all occupied by your own token, roll again.
RULES WITHOUT DICE
Flip all A-Z letters upside down.
Play similar to above except pull a letter and decide where to make your word.
Discard the letter tile used.
Play strategically to thwart your opponent as necessary.
